Another highly acclaimed book, written on life of Pardi Community in Maharashtra, who’re considered untouchable, and the police wrongly filed cases against them.
Must-read book, if you want to understand the situation of a socially marginalised community.

I read the Marathi translation of “My Experiment with Truth” by Mahatma Gandhi. I loved the fact that he talks about his bad habits, mistakes, and some personal incidents, totally unfiltered.

The best read!
The greatness and innocence of the mother greatly reflected in this book and I’m defiately inspired by Sane Gurji’s simplicity.
My Godness, the Sane Guruji is an alumnus of SP College, and from the same college I graduated in Economics.

I read it after my Class 12 CBSE Board Examination, at Shaniwarwada. I used to go there every day in the afternoon and sit there reading this novel.
This book was the first literary work from the Marathi industry, which won the Dnyanpeeth Award (the Highest Award in India for Literature).
Recommendation: Must Read

Musafir, an autobiography of Achyut Godbole. It might be the longest book I have read for the first time.
The writer talks about his life at IIT Bombay, his experience of getting into agitation for tribal people and then doing something for Autism.

It’s an autobiography of Rajendra Bharud, an IAS officer from the Bhilla Community in Maharashtra!
I had soft corner for the author as he’s been a JNV Student (Completed his 11th & 12th from JNV Jalna) and off-let he’s been unpopular for his Open-Deification initiative at the grassroots level and later also allegedly found in corruption.
It has dialogues written in their native language, and that makes it interesting to read and understand their culture.

One of the greatest books, written by Daya Pawar. It takes the reader through the life of Dalits and the social prejudices & discrimination they face.
Must Read to understand the condition of Dalits from a completely different lens.

My friend Appa, Vikas and Raghav had read this book and then read it. Its great depiction of rural India and teacher who went to teach in village, named Bangarwadi.
I great thing about this book is the illustrations drawn by the author himself, and it them while reading this novel.
